The SRAM Force 22/Force 1 disc brake caliper is a versatile component designed for both road cycling and cyclocross applications. This complete caliper assembly is ready for either front or rear installation, with an 18mm piston ideally sized for balanced braking power and modulation.

Included with the caliper are steel-backed organic pads, which are favored for their quiet operation and effective stopping power under normal conditions. Organic pads generally provide a strong initial bite and are less abrasive on the disc rotor, although they might wear more quickly in wet and muddy conditions compared to metallic pads.

The caliper is designed for flat mount installation, a standard that offers a sleek, integrated look and is commonly found on modern road and gravel bikes. Hydraulic brake lever actuation ensures precise control over braking, with the fluid system using DOT fluid — known for its high performance and consistency across varying temperatures and conditions.
