Description:

The Shimano XT BR-M8120 disc brake caliper is part of the respected Deore XT M8100 series, designed to handle the rigors of enduro riding and deliver superior braking power on tough trails. With a 4-piston configuration, this post-mount caliper provides high-power braking which enhances downhill confidence and control.

The caliper's design focuses on superior modulation, allowing for precise control over braking intensity. Quicker piston retraction translates to faster pad release, which improves the overall feel and response of the braking system.

Featuring a banjo-type connection, the caliper allows for versatile hose routing inside the bike frame for a neat setup. The XT BR-M8120 is known for its straightforward assembly, making installation and maintenance quick and easy.

This brake system uses mineral oil as the hydraulic fluid, recognized for its consistent performance and minimal maintenance. Metallic pads with fins are included, designed to offer long-lasting performance and effective heat dissipation during extended braking.

Weighing approximately 410 grams, the Shimano XT BR-M8120 offers a good balance between weight and robust performance. Note that the caliper does not come with a rotor, giving riders the freedom to choose a rotor that suits their specific riding style and bike setup.
