The Hayes Dominion A2 is a hydraulic disc brake system specifically catered to Cross Country and Trail riders. This model shares the high-performance attributes of the Dominion A4 but opts for a more compact two-piston caliper design. This streamlined caliper allows for lighter weight and less complexity, suitable for the types of riding where outright stopping power can be balanced with finesse and modulation.

For riders with smaller hands or those who prefer a smaller lever profile, the Dominion A2 offers an SFL (Small Form Lever) option. This variant maintains the powerful and responsive braking feel of the Dominion A4 while providing a more comfortable and ergonomic lever design for smaller hands.

The Dominion A2 lever is purposefully engineered to pair seamlessly with the two-piston caliper, which still upholds the robust performance standards set by the four-piston Dominion A4. This system gives riders the flexibility to match the braking force to their riding style and terrain, whether they choose the two-piston A2 for lighter trail use or the four-piston A4 for more aggressive riding.

Like its sibling, the A2 features Hayes' proprietary QuickBite² system, designed to ensure fast and consistent pad engagement for reliable performance.
