Description:

The Magura MT8 is at the forefront of lightweight, high-performance hydraulic disc brake systems. The brake master is constructed from Magura's proprietary Carbotecture SL material, a carbon fiber-reinforced composite that provides an impressive strength-to-weight ratio. This material choice not only reduces overall weight but also contributes to the system's resilience and durability.

The lever blade of the MT8 is a 1-finger HC (High Carbon) model, crafted from carbon to be lighter and stiffer than traditional aluminum levers. This design choice allows for precise control and efficient force transfer from the rider's finger to the braking mechanism, enabling peak performance on the trails.

At the heart of the MT8's braking power is a 2-piston caliper, which is uniquely forged from a single piece of material. This unibody construction enhances rigidity without adding unnecessary mass, culminating in a brake system that delivers exceptional power and stability while belonging to the lightest of the 2-piston lineup.
